Orange Mobile Apps Awards
The Orange Apps Awards is a mobile application contest covering the MENA region. This initiative is organized in partnership with Tech-Jordan, MaysAlward, Nokia, Microsoft Innovation Center, Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship and tasmeemME.
For this contest, Orange has allocated more than $50,000 which will be distributed across the winners. Moreover, Orange will be providing the winners with the support in marketing their applications through the Orange Apps store. The winners will also have the opportunity to be Orange Partners, acquiring open passes to publish their apps through the Orange Apps store across Orange worldwide Network.
It is noteworthy that the applications' language must be in Arabic. While English is a plus, this aims to enhance the availability of Arabic content, which based on statistics forms only 1%.
Have any questions regarding the competition? Attend the workshop this Saturday 4-Jun at 5pm in Friendship Hall at Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) in Amman. There will be Orange Representatives to answer your questions, and speakers to talk about mobile applications in general, where the market is going, and how to write a concise idea in a small paragraph.
