This experience has embedded operational management, portfolio management and lots of business development in her. Among her achievements is restructuring & revamping Decoration One – A company she is managing along with her sister, Susanne Baalbaki, increasing its sales to 65% from 2012 to 2013, as well as establishment of new lines of production and sales.
In 2010, she took her experience with her to a career shift and decided to follow her passion in life, along with her sister; Arabic & Islamic art and design, both on product and business development. Totally anonymous to the design/production/sales industry yet passionate about creating well-known bespoke pieces, she, and her sister, founded Decoration One; a company that embodies the essence of Arabic / Islamic Art by designing good quality value products with a contemporary fusion as in tableware, home accessories & decorations. Its mission is promoting and developing the concept of high quality value contemporary Islamic/Oriental decoration & ornaments adopting it as a style for interior home decoration and for celebrating Islamic festive seasons.
Choosing to pursue her love for Arabic and Islamic art gave birth to a fruitful mix between the softness and playfulness of landscape design and the structured rich Arabic/Isalmic art and calligraphy. She found that there is room to create a symbiosis of multifunctionality, value and flexibility. The business development mind in her always kept looking for growth while her conceptual thoughts were formed with regards to any potential design opportunity. The outcome has been bespoke design concepts, pieces, and company growth.
