Mother Tongue is a short film created fully by Awn Takruri.

The story is about an older lady that is living in a high-tech era where people does not have the need to talk anymore, instead they communicate through generating/scaning QR codes.

The struggle that the mother is facing is not just how she 's trying to adapt in such society, but mostly is about how she can cope with the huge generation gap that this new technology has created between her and her only daughter.

The film is 9 scenes long, but for now, only the 1st scene has been animated

It has been displayed in the Salisbury University Art Gallery on the 57th BI-ANNUAL SENIOR EXHIBITION

Idea, written, illustrated, animated, directed and edited by Awn Takruri.
