Jordanian singer/songwriter Emad Alaeddin has always had a passion for both music & his heritage. His pop rock music is a blend of Michael Jackson, Coldplay, and Alice in Chains. After spending almost a decade in Los Angeles playing in his rock band and learning the craft of vocals and songwriting, he finally felt ready to return home and launch his career from Jordan.
While in Los Angeles, Emad was the first Arab to had been nominated for Best Male Vocals in the Los Angeles Music Awards in 2007. He's also a two-time award-winning songwriter on songoftheyear.com for his songs "More Than You Know" in '07 and "How Does It Feel?" in '08.
His original song “Arabic Girl” was one of the hottest tracks of 2009 as it enjoyed frequent airplay on all the local major radio stations. His newest single "Sunshine" has been blowing up the radio waves as well in anticipation of his first solo album "Centered" released January 2010.
In 2009, Emad was featured on the cover of Jordan's OC Magazine and has also been featured in both JO Magazine and NOX Magazine numerous times. He’s made radio performances to the English stations such as BeatFM, PlayFM, Spin, Energy, in addition to the Arabic stations such as Sawt El-Ghad and Sawt Amman.
In August 2009, Emad’s Los Angeles band, Avowed flew in for the country’s first rock show of such caliber where they performed at Souk Jara. Their debut self-titled album are available at Virgin Megastores in Amman and iTunes.
In October 2009, Emad took the stage at the historic Roman Ampitheater in Amman and played a moving set for 5,000 fans.
Through his music, Emad hopes to dissolves the negative stereotype that Arabs are coined with throughout the world, and hopes to put Jordan on the map of talented artists worldwide.
