Job Description
Vit-e Design Studio (www.vit-e.com) is looking for a full time client-side web developer to primarily work on existing web projects using HTML(4 & 5), CSS (2 &3) and JavaScript/jQuery.
You will be involved in scoping, design (e.g. building wireframes) and scripting.
We try hard to be standards compliant, and we embrace open source software.
Candidates should have:
- An eye for detail, good design and simple pragmatic solutions.
- A good understanding of the relevant standards (including, but not limited to HTML4 & 5, CSS2 & 3, JavaScript) and the specifics of popular modern browsers.
- Curiosity for exploring new ideas, experimentation & testing.
- Familiarity with the surrounding web technologies (PHP, Data Structures, SEO, Social Media).
- It's a plus if you're familiar with open source development platforms (Wordpress, Drupal, Silverstripe).
We are a small focused team, and we work very hard. You need to be able to produce great work without a carrot or stick and be comfortable communicating with the wider business via email, phone, IM and online tools such as Google Docs.
