The Advertising Technology team is responsible for providing support, solutions and advice around the technical implementation and delivery of display advertising on the Yahoo! network. The team is part of the Global Advertising Operations team which reports centrally to the head quarter in Sunnyvale, California. The Advertising Technology team for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) has members in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany and Spain and it is extending its reach to the Middle East and Africa.
The group has a pivotal role in the company as it is involved in all aspects of delivery of display advertising, from product consultation and set up, advertising specification ownership, technical implementation and troubleshooting to QA.
The team interacts internally with various teams in the company (sales, account management, marketing, advertising operations, engineering, product management) and externally with our clients, agencies and 3rd-party advertising vendors.
Deliver global processes that enable efficient technical execution of all display advertising solutions across the Yahoo! EMEA network of sites (including Maktoob.com) and partner sites using proprietary advertising building and serving tools
Manage the implementation of rich media ad campaigns from a technical operations standpoint, including creative consultation and media placement, defining and maintaining advertising specification, establishing best practices and technical QA
Provide support for the Advertising Operations team on day-to-day ad-related issues (ad systems first-tier support and troubleshooting) and train them on executing common display advertising solutions
Develop a good knowledge of the display advertising markets in the Middle East and rest of EMEA by maintaining operational relationship with internal and external clients
· Work with global counterparts to implement internal and 3rd-party ad technologies
Participate in identifying and developing new display advertising opportunities (e.g., new ad formats, ad technology strategy, etc.)
· Fluent in Arabic and English
· Intermediate to advanced in front-end technologies:
o Adobe Flash CS4 and Action Script (version 2 and 3)
Excellent communication (ability to relay technical concepts to non-technical audience) and problem solving skills

Strong time management and organizational skills
Possess the technical aptitude to learn new technologies

Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline
· Fluency in any one of these languages in addition to Arabic and English: – French, German, Spanish, Italian (medium level in read, write and speak)
Working experience in an advertising operations team or an online marketing/media environment
Working knowledge in advertising technology
Knowledge in web development programming:
Server-side scripting (PHP, Java, Perl)
Database management (MySQL)
LAMP and AJAX techniques
