Graphic Design

The Graphic Designer is responsible for the development of original marketing and communication solutions for a variety of target audiences and business needs with an institution-wide impact. Required to manage assigned projects effectively with both technical and professional competence.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing and applying expertise in graphic design and print production.
To execute visually the marketing, communications strategies for annual campaigns and events.
Responsible for ensuring that all graphic work reflects the current standards of the company image.
Supporting the needs of internal clients by providing creative, effective communication materials in a timely manner.
Understands the graphics trade from a both a technical and a marketing perspective.
Actively participates in Marketing and Communications special events or trade shows.
Remains current with software upgrades and newly developed techniques.

Skills
Degree in graphic design. A strong and varied portfolio of past work is required, with preference given to candidates with 3-5 years of practical work experience in graphic design.
Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite graphic design platform, using the InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop programs. Knowledge of print production and file preparation for print and digital output is required. Experience in web design or with programs such as Adobe Flash is an asset.
Strong organization and time management skills are required to handle multiple projects at the same time.
