This modern scene was created with maya, from the modeling stage to the rendering, with the use of mental ray as the rendering engine. To create this composition, I started the modeling stage by creating the assets needed for the scene and also thinking about the placement of each element in relation to the others. I t hen moved on to texturing and applying appropriate materials to every model and setting up a lightning scheme that gave me the feel I w as looking for. Next, for the rendering stage, I decided to split the render to several passes just to have more control over the f inal rendering. I then did the last t weaks, before rendering, over the mental ray engine parameters and materials settings. Finally, with the passes rendered out of Maya, I went to Photoshop to do some post production adjustments to enhance the look of this Modern Design.
