Design Portfolio Review

tasmeemME.com and Amman Design Week are teaming up for an evening of presentations, discussions, and feedback sessions in a designer focused portfolio centric evening.

Taking place on Saturday February 27th 2016 from 6:45 p.m. 9:00 p.m. at ZINC, the portfolio review will bring together a diverse design community and feedback panel to a physical space, allowing designers the opportunity to showcase samples of their latest work and receive feedback from their peers. The event will consist of short 5 minutes presentations by designers of 2-3 sample works, followed by comments and portfolio building tips from peers, creatives, and individuals from tasmeemME, Amman Design Week, and Adobe Creative.

1. Rawan Qubrosi & Lana Haddadin: architecture & product design
Lana Haddadin and Rawan Qubrosi are both product designers and architects. They established a design studio in 2012 that endeavors to design and create items such as concrete planters, office accessories, home accessories and furniture items that are original, imaginative and sustainable with a and sustainable with a sense of fun and practicality.

2. Sandra Dajani: animation design
Sandra Dajani is a freelance animator and artist who enjoys 2D traditional animation. She has created many independent animated short films, as well as commercial artistic projects. She loves unconventional storytelling and experimental animation. Her films focus on the complexity of human emotions, pushing boundaries and addressing provocative controversial topics while still maintaining some dark humor. She maintains an MFA degree from Tama Art University in Japan and is currently teaching Animation at Princess Sumaya University of Technology.

3. Basma Hamdallah: furniture design
Basma Hamdallah is a selftaught designer in the disciplines of graphic, pattern, and furniture design. Her design journey has been an explanatory one, a series of experimental ventures that the hungry learner in her finds insatiable. She is drawn to design and how it affects the way we perceive everything.

4. Amro Sinan: typography & illustration
A selftaught art director/graphic designer with over 10 years of experience in branding and advertising. A lover of Arabic calligraphy and a minimalist at heart, Amro Sinan has a keen interest in logos and posters. His passion has led him to found 7arakat, a lifestyle brand driven by a buzzing creative community, that also caters to corporate needs. His passion for art is only matched by his love for Batman and Real Madrid.

5. Tariq Yousef: graphic design
Art Director & Designer Tariq Yosef is devoted to creating contemporary visual content, brand communication strategies and design messages in a multi-disciplinary approach.
